3rd Congress of RWU (2009)
The images of Rakhaing Women's Union (RWU) 3rd Congress.
The 3rd Congress of RWU- Rakhaing Women's Union was held successfully on February, 19- 21, 2009, in a place of Bangladesh-Rakhaing border.
In the Congress, 39 representatives of RWU from Mae Sot- Branch, Thailand-Burma border, the representatives from inside Burma, the representatives from Bangladesh border areas, Dhaka (Head Quarter), Cox's Bazar, Alakhaungdon were attended respectively.
Many decisions were made successfully In the Congress for the implementation of future works of Rakhaing Pray and democracy movement in Burma, after that, the new executive committee members were elected by secret voting system and formed RWU's Executive committee. More over 4 honorary committee members and (3) alternative committee were selected by executive committee for helping to the newly central executive committee.
After congress, RWU executive committee and representative from different places broadly discussed with male political leaders for future of Rakhaing people, Burma democracy and appropriate decision were made for doing before 2010.
